Pariisilaisen opas, osa 1: Kuinka viettää vapaapäivää?

1. Seuraa uutisia (tai vaihtoehtoisesti omaa ystävällinen vuokraemäntä, joka seuraa uutisia).
2. Saa selville, että keskustan suuri nähtävyys joka lopettaa toimintansa pian, on ilmaiseksi avoinna kolme päivää.
3. Ota metrot paikan päälle jo aamupäivällä ja totea, että jonot ovat todella lyhyet ainakin vielä.
4. Huomaa paikan päällä, että se on ilmainen vain pariisilaisille ja että sinun tulee osoittaa asuvasi siellä.
5. Etsi paniikissa sähköpostista, jos siellä olisi jokin liite, josta ilmenee Pariisin osoitteesi.
6. Löydä onnekkaasti etsimäsi ja ota vastaan ilmainen lippu.
7. Pääse lyhyen jonon ohi, sillä olet yksin liikkeellä ja vaunussa on vielä tilaa.
8. Ihaile Pariisia yläilmoista ja höpöttele samalla samassa vaunussa olevien ranskalaisen ja amerikkalaisen kanssa.
9. Palaa kotiin rauhassa, sillä aikaa ei mennyt paljoakaan.
10. Tee kotona smoothie lähikaupan halvoista mangoista ja mansikoista sekä leivo sämpylöitä, koska marketin leivät eivät ole oikein mistään kotoisin.

[Guide to Parisians, part 1: How to spend a free day?

1. Follow the news (or alternatively have a friendly landlady who follows the news).
2. Find out that the big attraction in the center which closes for ever soon, is free for three days.
3. Take metros there already before the noon and find out that the line is very short at least yet.
4. Notice on the spot that it is free only for Parisians and that you have to prove that you live there.
5. In a panic, look for an email if there was any attachment that mentions your address in Paris.
6. Find what you were looking for and take the free entrance ticket.
7. Pass the short queue because you are alone and there is still some place in the wagon.
8. Admire Paris from above and babble with the French and American who are in the same wagon.
9. Return home without any rush because you hardly spent some time there.
10. At home, make a smoothie from the cheap mangoes and strawberries you found from the market and bake bread because the breads in the market are not too interesting.
